We collect information about you when you engage us for helping to locate pension plans. This information will relate to your personal and financial circumstances. It may also include special categories of personal data such as data about your health, if this is necessary for the provision of our services.
We may also collect information when you voluntarily complete client surveys or provide feedback to us.
Information relating to usage of our website is collected using cookies. These are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. We’ll use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to the site.

The primary legal basis that we intend to use for the processing of your data is for the performance of our contract with you. The information that we collect about you is essential for us to be able to carry out the services that you require from us effectively. Without collecting your personal data we’d also be unable to fulfil our legal and regulatory obligations.

In order to deliver our services to you effectively, we may send your details to third parties such as those that we engage for professional compliance, accountancy or legal services as well as product and platform providers that we use to arrange financial products for you.
Where third parties are involved in processing your data we’ll have a contract in place with them to ensure that the nature and purpose of the processing are clear, that they are subject to a duty of confidence in processing your data and that they’ll only act in accordance with our written instructions.
Where it’s necessary for your personal data to be forwarded to a third party we’ll use appropriate security measures to protect your personal data in transit. To fulfil our obligations in respect of prevention of money-laundering and other financial crime we may send your details to third party agencies for identity verification purposes.
How long do we keep hold of your information?
In principle, your personal data shouldn’t be held for longer than is required under the terms of our contract for services with you. However, we’re subject to regulatory requirements to retain data for specified minimum periods. We also reserve the right to retain data for longer than this due to the possibility that it may be required to defend a future claim against us. In any case, we’ll not retain your personal data for longer than 2 years/past the time of your death. However, information relating to pension transfers will be held indefinably.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We’ll comply with this request, subject to the restrictions of our regulatory obligations and legitimate interests as noted above.
How can I access the information you hold about me?
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you’d like a copy of some or all of your personal information please email or write to us using the contact details noted below.
When your personal data is processed by automated means you have the right to ask us to move your personal data to another organisation for their use.

The Website includes a functionality whereby individuals complete an online questionnaire (the “Questionnaire”) which Pension Finder then uses the results from to introduce the individual with suggested financial advisers (the “Pension-Finder Service”). When providing the Pension Finder Service, FMA shall:
9.1.1. act impartially and only introduce you to wealth managers on the basis of (i) your answers to the Questionnaire, (ii) any other relevant information you provide to us and (iii) information provided to us by the wealth managers regarding the services they provide;
9.1.2. process your personal data (both terms as defined by applicable data protection laws) in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9.2. When using the Pension-Finder Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
9.3.1. you shall complete the Questionnaire in good faith with a genuine intention of discussing your requirements with the wealth managers to whom we introduce you;
9.3.2. you shall provide, to the best of your knowledge, accurate answers to the Questionnaire;
9.3.3. you shall provide Pension Finder with reasonable responses to any queries Pension Finder may have in addition to the Questionnaire, including, but not limited to, queries relating to your answers to the Questionnaire and existing relationships you may have with wealth managers;
9.2.4. Pension Finder is an impartial and cost-free service for you to use. Fees are levied by us to wealth managers for the provision of client leads. These can include:
9.2.4.1. an annual fee for marketing services and infrastructure set-up;
9.2.4.2. an upfront payment for the provision of leads; and
and it is the responsibility of the wealth manager to disclose to you any fees they have paid to a third party in respect of their introduction to you;
9.2.5. Pension Finder is entitled to withdraw the provision of the Pension Finder Service at any time;
9.2.6. Pension Finder has no responsibility for any goods or services offered by the wealth managers to whom you are introduced or any other third party. Any information provided to you as part of the Pension Finder Service should be regarded as indicative only, and we cannot be held legally liable or responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and usefulness of the information or the actions taken or not taken as a result of the use of the Pension Finder Service by you. Use of the Pension Finder Service is entirely at your own risk;
9.2.7. Pension Finder is not responsible if a wealth manager decides not to accept your application to open an account with them;
9.2.8. Pension Finder is not providing you with financial, investment, or professional advice, either generally or in respect of a particular investment, and nothing on the pages of the Website shall be deemed to constitute the offer or provision of financial, investment, or other professional advice in any way; and
9.2.9. Pension Finder only promotes the services of suitably authorised and regulated wealth managers and does not itself, and will not, offer or provide any financial advice or carry on any other regulated activities as defined in The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001.
9.3. We may also wish to provide you with information about special features of our Website, ask for your feedback, send a newsletter featuring content or any other information on a service or products we think may be of interest to you or other similar materials. As a user of the Website, you may be sent this information from time to time. Our business ethos is not to send spam emails to our users and we keep this to the bare minimum and always with the aim of providing the user with what we believe is genuinely interesting information.
