Our Process

Pension finder has helped locate and track down over £50 million worth of pensions across 5000 policies.

We've developed a simple and easy 5 stage process to help locate and reclaim your missing or dormant pensions

1

Enter your details via our data capture form or via email us at
info@pension-finder.com.

1

2

A member of our team will confirm your enquiry and may ask further questions to help us in the search or review of your pension.

They will then refer your case onto a regulated and authorised financial advisor.

2

3

The advisor may arrange a virtual call at this stage to discuss your enquiry, OR they will send across a Letter of Authority (LOA) AND / OR transfer forms for you to review and electronically sign.

See below for more information on the Letter of Authority

3

4

The advisor and their team will send the signed LOA to your known or unknown providers to help gather information.

4

5

If receiving advice, a virtual meeting will be set up by your advisor to review the findings, provide a progress report and review your investment options. This typically occurs 3 weeks after signing the LOA.

Useful Information

In order for our panel of advisors to assist you in your search or help review an existing pension, please provide as much detail as possible. For example, if you have misplaced or lost a pension – please let us know who your employer or employers were, when you worked there. For existing pensions, please provide a rough valuation, the name of your pension provider and underlying funds invested into.

All information is private and confidential and is only shared with FCA regulated advisors on our panel.

Letter of Authority

This is an essential part of the process to try and locate your pension. The Letter of Authority is sent on your behalf to pension providers for information gathering purposes and does not allow us to make any changes to your pension. Due to data protection laws, pension providers will not accept information requests without a signed Letter of Authority.

Advice

Pension Finder does not provide advice. Some advisors on our panel may provide advice on your pensions, while others may assist in the consolidation process in a non-advised capacity.

Investment Risk

Investments involve risk. The value of your investments can go up and down, and it's not guaranteed at any time. You may get back less than what you invested.
